“Twilight” star Ashley Greene has come on to replace Anna Kendrick in Zach Braff’s Kickstarter movie “Wish I Was Here,” the director announced to the project’s backers on Tuesday night.

Also joining the cast are “Scrubs” alums Bob Clendenin, Matt Winston and Alexander Chaplin.

Braff’s announcement chalked the casting switch up to a scheduling conflict.

“Well, since you’re having your first shot as being movie producer, it’s time you experience something that happens a lot: Scheduling conflicts. We’ve tried our hardest, but we’ve been unable to figure out the lovely Anna Kendrick’s scheduling conflicts with another movie she’s doing. This happens all the time in movie-land. Putting the shooting schedule together is like planning 25 weddings: each day has so many moving pieces and locations. I love Anna so much and can’t wait to work with her one day.”

As for Greene, Braff described the actress as beautiful, talented and funny. She’ll put that package to use as Janine, a young woman into Cosplay who Braff’s brother, played by Josh Gad, becomes smitten with.

“You may know Ashley from Twilight. I’ve known Ashley for a couple years now and I’m so excited she’s accepted my invitation to join our Kickstarter Klub. Not only is Ashley gorgeous and charming, but she is hilarious, a very good actress and normal and cool and we are so lucky to have her,” wrote Braff.

“Wish I Was Here” stars Braff as Aidan Bloom, a struggling actor, father and husband who is still trying to find his identity and purpose at age 35.

Kate Hudson co-stars alongside Mandy Patinkin, Jim Parsons, Donald Faison and Gad, among others.

Braff (“Garden State”) is directing from a script he co-wrote with his brother Adam Braff. Stacey Sher and Michael Shamberg are producing and production starts in August.

Danish artist Inge Jacobsen sees her creations as a way to ‘hijack’ the over-saturation of mass produced images in the modern world, and endeavours to alter them to create something unique.

We almost didn’t recognize the newly blond Ashley Greene in Kaufmanfranco’s front row last night. The Twilight star laughed when we asked her what her natural hair color is: “Who knows at this point?” she said. Next, Greene will appear alongside Mickey Sumner in the much anticipated music flick, CBGB, out October 11.

In the film, Greene plays Lisa, the daughter of CBGB founder Hilly Kristal, whose real-life counterpart was able to help Greene prepare for her role. “[Lisa] told me stories and showed me photos that no one’s ever seen, which was very cool,” said Greene. “It was a very fun, easy-going group. If I had ideas for the script, Jodi (one of the writers/producers) would sit down with me and we’d edit. It was a really cool project to be a part of. And the cast is extraordinary!”

CBGB‘s soundtrack is filled with the original punk and New Wave tracks. “It’s so hard to get music for films,” explained Greene. “We got lucky, because for a lot of people involved with Hilly and CBGB, this was important to them, especially for New Yorkers. A lot of people jumped at the opportunity to get involved.”

As for her Twilight days, Greene still find the first film the most poignant. “It’s really cool to think back to the time before it all happened [when] we just had no idea how extraordinary it was going to be,” she recalled.

“Twilight” beauty Ashley Greene gets down in dirty fo rHollywood photographer Tylyer Shields. Greene is one of several celebrities who posed for Sheild’s first book “The Dirty Side of Glamour.”

During her “Twilight” run, Greene played squeaky clean (for a vampire) Alice Cullen, a member of the famous Cullen clan, which included Robert Pattinson (Edward) and later Kristen Stewart (Bella).

But the 26-year-old actress is an incredible natural beauty, who can start fires with her smoldering sensuality. She shows off that side of her personality for Shields, who has such Young Hollywood celebs asLindsay Lohan and Demi Lovato, doing the most unnatural things.

Shields new book will be released by HarperCollins and IT Books publishing Nov. 20. Among the celebrities joining Greene are Zachary Quinto in the shower and Connor Paolo punching Nick Wechsler.

“A big part of this book is about showing the freedom of yourself,” Shields told The Hollywood Reporter.

“People get caught up in the idea of celebrity, fame, luxury, excess — but all they really are is an idea,” he explains.

“I mean, every celebrity goes to the bathroom! They all eat; they’ve all had their heart broken! They’ve all done everything that every person has done, but they just live under a microscope.”

Shields point is Hollywood isn’t all about fame.

“People think that fame is so glamorous, but go and work on a set for twenty hours a day — you’re in the mud and you’re freakin’ cold, and you haven’t seen the person you love in six months.

“There are prices to pay for all of this fame, all of these things that people think they want. I just like to show all of that,” he says.
