WFE Earns an Environmental Award

Water for Elephants earns a Green Seal, for environmentally responsible filmmaking.

SunHerald Environmental Media Association awarded Fox Filmed Entertainment 12 EMA Green Seals at its 20th Annual Environmental Media Awards on October 16. The EMA Green Seal is given to films and television shows that promote sustainable production methods and highlights those in the entertainment industry that have made strides in incorporating such practices.

The Fox films that earned recognition for their commitment to environmentally responsible filmmaking are Love & Other Drugs, Water for Elephants, 127 Hours, Black Swan, The Big Year, Knight and Day, Marmaduke, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, The Descendants, Just Wright, Cedar Rapids, and Win Win.

Fox’s environmental efforts on its productions are part of a broader commitment by parent company News Corporation to reduce its impact on climate change and the environment. Productions follow Fox’s Green Guide guidelines to go “green” by reducing the use of energy and fuel; diverting as much waste as possible from landfills through reuse, recycling and donation; and tracking all carbon emissions. Fox expects to achieve net zero carbon emissions from its operations by the end of 2010, part of News Corp.'s company-wide carbon neutrality target.

On set, the studio enforced the use of energy-efficient lighting, curbed unnecessary waste and water consumption, banned disposable plastic water bottles, and dismantled sets for reuse or donation. Generators were equipped with biodiesel fuel or eliminated entirely by working with local energy providers to plug into the grid. Wherever possible, crews limited the use of private transportation by using public transportation or fuel-efficient vehicles.

Oprócz serii Zmierzchu, wybierasz same artystyczne filmy, dlaczego?
Zmierzch miał być małym niezależnym filmem, z niezależnym reżyserem to miał być ciemny i tragiczny dramat. Nadal nie mogę przyzwyczaić się do myśli, że to tak nagle stało się hitem. Więc nagrywam film po filmie, bez przerwy, nie myśląc o fakcie, że stałem się sławny. Zdecydowałem, że nie chcę grać w hollywoodzkich hitach, więc wybieram małe projekty, jak przed Zmierzchem.
W następnej części Zmierzchu, Przed Świtem, Edward staje się ojcem?
Tak właściwie to w Water for Elephants jestem ojcem 5 dzieci! Nie potrafię sobie wyobrazić Belli i Edwarda, którzy mają dziecko. Wiem, że Kristen zagra to dobrze, więc wezmę z niej przykład.
Jaki jest twój ideał kobiety?
Cóż... po pierwsze to ona musi kochać psy. Nie może krzyczeć donośnym głosem. To są tylko dwa warunki, reszta to kwestia czy będzie nam razem dobrze.

Co Rob robił w czwartek i w piątek???

Fanki wypatrzyły Roba 21 września na przejażdżce rowerem w okół jeziora w Baton Rouge. Jak widać, aktor czekając na rozpoczęcie zdjęć do Breaking Dawn postanowił spędzić chwilę czasu sam dla siebie.. Niestety zdjęcia się jeszcze nie pojawiły. Wieczorem, tego samego dnia widziany był w towarzystwie Kristen w Perkins Rowe, dzielnicy Baton Rouge przepełnionej sklepami i restauracjami. Według domysłów para wybrała się na romantyczną kolację.

Rob talks about his music

Smouldering Twi-star Robert Pattinson has made no secret of his wish to have a music career. In fact he even got himself a slot on the Twilight soundtrack. Now Rob has opened up on his singing abilities, revealing he thinks his ‘depressing’ tracks will only become popular when he’s dead.

Despite wanting a music career, Rob has admitted he doesn’t think many people will like his intense songs, and doesn’t see himself ever having widespread singing success.

"I am sure I'll be one of those artists that people don't pay any attention to while I'm alive, and when I am dead people will go yeah, man, that was a work of art" he said in a recent interview.

"I see myself playing in a rundown blues bar, with about three people drowning their sorrows. I play according to my mood, and sometimes that can come across as very depressing in music."

But despite not wanting his music to become mainstream,Rob admitted he likes Simon Cowell, and watches some of his shows.

"I love Simon, I think he is a great personality and I think his shows are entertaining" he said.

"He is a clever guy and he created artists that he knows the public will like, that's why I don't think he could ever launch my music career. I am selfish with my music. I get my guitar and I play what I like, but the problem is I don't think many other people would like it."

Uma Thurman Talks About Her Daughter's Reaction When She Met Rob

While we can't wait to see Uma Thurman play Rob's lover in Bel Ami, it's a different story for Thurman's daughter. Thurman mentioned a conversation between the two, while at the Abu Dhabi film festival last week:

Thurman's acting, however, has certainly gained her daughter's curiosity, especially when she's starring alongside some of Hollywood's up-and-coming young heartthrobs such as Twilight enigma Robert Pattinson and Michael Angarano. Laughing

"She asked me: ‘Why are you acting in movies with these young boys' and I replied: ‘Honey, at least I don't do it in real life'! My daughter met Robert [Pattinson] but she was so blasé about it," Thurman said.There is much speculation about when and where Bel Ami will have its world premiere, but no official word as of yet. Mike, a three-sport varsity captain, and Neve, who does it all—they can’t be human. So Pattinson and Peter Berg ’80 decide it’s time to shut Taft down.

No one thought Headmaster Willy MacMullen could top last year’s Headmaster Holiday announcement. But director/producer Peter Berg came through yet again, filming a video message with Pattinson in a Baton Rouge cemetery.

Berg recapped his theme of unfairness from last year (headholiday09), reminding students that he didn’t have what they have at Taft now. “You guys are continuing to dominate, “ he says to the camera, “and I’m going to deal with it.”

The tradition of a Headmaster Holiday goes back more than a century, to the election of William Howard Taft, whose son was then a student. Knowing Taft’s son would want to attend the inauguration, Horace Taft declared the first Headmaster Holiday--allowing both Horace and his nephew to attend the ceremony.

"I love this tradition,” said MacMullen. “Every student and teacher needed a break from our labors, but the seniors needed it the most, and it is a really great class. Needless to say, when the film was shown, it was deafening! Peter Berg has directed another blockbuster hit! I thought we were going to have to call in the medics--several of the girls looked as if they were about to have a heart attack!"

Of course the stakes have been raised now. "To top this year's video, I have a few requirements for the announcement of the headmaster's holiday for my senior year," middler Cassie Willson emailed the headmaster shortly after. "I'm going to need Paul McCartney in person in Bingham, and he will announce the day off and then pull me on stage to perform an impromptu concert for the school. You can make that happen, right?"

The Volunteer Council took advantage of the opportunity to remind students of the Red Cross blood drive today, with the posting “Edward Cullen wants your blood!”

Widać nasze modły mają szanse być wysłuchane. Marzyłam, żeby Rob miał krótsze włosy i pozbył sie tych "baczków" z NM i Zaćmienia.
Od czasów kręcenia WFE, Rob wygląda młodziej i w końcu Edward ma szansę, by wyglądac jak młody bóg, a nie jak podstarzały wampir (patrz NM).
Widać są różne gusta i przyzwyczajenia oraz pojęcia seksapilu.

An eyewitness tells HollywoodLife.com that Rob was on a river in Baton Rouge early this morning, driving a “speed boat” with an instructor. We’re told by another source that he was followed by a rescue boat with certified scuba divers — just in case. This is Rob Pattinson we’re talking about, after all.

It’s one of the most momentous scenes in the entire Twilight tetralogy — the moment when Edward and Bella take off for connubial bliss at Isle Esme. Clearly, Rob wants to be fully confident at the helm when he takes Kristen Stewart on the water.
