Robert Pattinson and Uma Thurman filming in Hertford
HOLLYWOOD stars Robert Pattinson, Uma Thurman and Christina Ricci were spotted at Balls Park yesterday (Wednesday) whilst filming their latest movie.
The actors were at the Manor House in Hertford filming Bel Ami – a movie adaptation of Guy de Maupassant’s novel with the same title – originally set in Paris.
Pattinson plays Georges Duroy – a man who rises to the top by manipulating a series of powerful and wealthy mistresses.
The actor stars opposite Uma Thurman, who plays a woman high up in Parisian society and later becomes Duroy‘s wife.
Christina Ricci plays one of Duroy’s many mistresses in the film.
The stars were spotted this morning as they were on their way to hair and make-up, all stars apart from Pattinson walked the 30 metres from their trailers to the film set.
Thurman was wearing denim jeans knee high boots and a brown jacket, while Ricci had her hair styled in 19th century ringlets.
The stars are due to be on set till the weekend and the film is due to be released in 2011.

Rob is one of GQ's "The 50 Most Stylish Leading Men of the Past Half Century

Shrieking, ululating, OMG-ing teen girls aren't usually the best arbiters of men's style. (See: Cassidy, David; Mark, Marky; Boys, Backstreet.) So give the nearest tween a high five for freaking out over Robert Pattinson, the British sensation who stars in gossip columns, gossip sites, and oh yeah, a little billiondollar franchise called Twilight. Young Rob's probably got the best head of hair since James Dean, and he lets it do the talking. He also lets it fly: no pompadour, no side part…As far as we can tell, he just runs his hands through it every five minutes. And the clothes? What clothes? A pair of jeans, a T-shirt, an unbuttoned and untucked plaid shirt…That's it. He dresses his age (23); he dresses to his strengths; he dresses so you don't give a damn about how he's dressed.—WILL WELCH

Remember Me - Sho Me First

Chris Cooper about Robert

Cooper, who is openly critical of young actors who seem to relish red-hot celebrity more than the precise, demanding work of acting, had a lot to say about his co-star Pattinson during a recent press junket for the film.
Mainly, that Pattinson is no prima donna.

“Robert is learning the ropes,” said Cooper, whose squinty gaze and no-nonsense manner could certainly intimidate any young actor. “He’s relatively new in the business. What he’s doing is making some good choices, I think. I think he wants to be a serious actor, and he’s a lovely guy. So realizing what he has to deal with, all the demands of the `Twilight’ popularity and the distractions, I think he’s handling it amazingly well.”

With paparazzi and groupies descending on the shooting locations in New York every day, Cooper admitted to being occasionally aggravated by the distractions that came with Pattinson’s presence.

“But Robert was a consummate professional,” Cooper said. “He always did his homework and came to the set prepared.”

One of Cooper’s pet peeves is with young actors coming to the set looking like they’ve just rolled out of bed without having done their homework, without having all their lines memorized.

“I let them know I’m not pleased. I confront them with it,” he said bluntly, while declining to name names. “There’s this theory that I’m hearing time and time again with young actors that, `well, if I don’t learn my lines to the word it looks good on camera if I’m thinking about those words, trying to pull them.’

“Well, nine times out of ten that’ll kill a scene because the director’s saying, `what are you doing?’” Cooper said. “Get in the scene, get involved in the scene, get involved with the other actor you’re working with. And you just can’t do that if you don’t know your lines. It’s just happened to me too many times.

“I don’t care if they resent it (when he confronts them),” he said. “They’re working with me. Time is money in a production – we never have enough rehearsal time when we’re shooting a film – actors should come prepared. To his credit, Robert always did.”

Rob talks Remember Me and Bel Ami to TheScotsman.com

RIGHT now, being Robert Pattinson is a full-time business fraught with danger. The last time I saw him, the British star of the Twilight vampire franchise was in Cannes, surrounded by screaming French fans ready to sink their teeth into his flesh. With the release of Twilight sequel New Moon in November furthering "R-Patz" mania, it's now reached epidemic proportions – fuelled by his relationship with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart.

When we meet in a New York hotel it seems impossible to escape
him. Posters cover the subway for his latest film, Remember Me, while shops are full of Pattinson posters, calendars and T-shirts. Meanwhile, the cover of US magazine Details sees him wedged in between a model's legs (a photo shoot that led him in the accompanying interview to say "I'm allergic to vagina" – a quote that will doubtless follow him to his grave). No wonder, with his five-day stubble, unruly sideburns and unkempt James Dean-like mop of hair, he looks a little haggard.

Dressed in black jeans and a forest green puffer jacket, he says much of his day is about maintaining his sanity. "I spend a lot of time trying to figure out how to not be seen," he says. "It's kind of annoying but the payoff is infinite.

If no-one finds out where you're staying, if people aren't following you as soon as you leave your house, if people aren't waiting outside a restaurant if you have dinner there… then it's great. People coming up to you in the street – that's nice. But it's just when people know they can make money off your life, that's when it becomes difficult. They're relentless."

Returning to the city where he shot romantic drama Remember Me hardly helps. When he was filming there last June, hysteria haunted him wherever he walked.

"I don't know why I didn't see it coming. I really thought it was going to be a tiny little film, shot in New York, and I'd be able to just hang out." Instead, with much of the movie filmed in and around the city, it was done to the backdrop of screaming fans and the clicks of the paparazzi.

"Some days it just went completely mad, but you can't do anything," he says. "I remember one day we were filming by NYU, and there was a bunch of paparazzi on the other side of the street. It was in the middle of the scene and they were going 'Look up, look up!' as we were shooting. And when you don't look up, they go 'What? Do you think you're acting or something?'"

While he admits he got "more and more pissed off" with the intrusion, a security guard put it into perspective – telling him to imagine the embarrassment, not to mention the furore, if he tried to punch a pap and missed. "Then you feel fine. No-one can do anything to you then."

Given the role he plays in Remember Me, it's to his credit he never swung a fist off-camera. His angst-ridden character Tyler Hawkins evidently has visions of emulating his Fight Club namesake Tyler Durden, brawling with just about everyone, from his wealthy father (Pierce Brosnan) to louts on the street. While Pattinson previously told me "I'm really just playing myself", he's changed his tune since making the film. "I think it's impossible to do that. It's more your fantasy of yourself – like 'Yeah, I could play that. I get into fights all the time'." So does he? "I don't at all," he says. "I just want to." What about in the past? "I've been beaten up quite a few times. I generally don't see it coming, so I can't really class it as a fight. It's been a few years though."

It's hard to imagine this 23-year-old from Surrey getting into schoolyard scraps. Raised with his two older sisters by his father, a former car dealer, and his mother, who worked in a model agency, his middle-class upbringing in Barnes hardly sounds like the stuff of drama. "I'm always really worried," he says, "because I didn't go through a rebellious streak when I was young, that now I'll suddenly start rebelling against stuff completely unnecessarily."

Considering how his life has been mapped out for him by Twilight, it'd be hard to blame him if he did. Everything was a lot simpler when he was a teenager – and he certainly didn't experience the pressure to succeed that Tyler feels from his alpha-male father. "When I was not trying very hard at school, my dad was like: 'Just leave school and get a job.' No-one ever said: 'You need to do your exams.' It was more like: 'If you're not going to take advantage of things, don't do it. Do something else.'"

This he did. Ditching the idea of going to university, he veered towards acting, something his father first suggested when he urged him to get involved with amateur productions at Barnes Theatre Company.

After a bit part in Mira Nair's film adaptation of Vanity Fair, followed by a more substantial role in a TV film of Wagner's Ring cycle, Ring Of The Nibelungs, Pattinson's big break came in Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, playing martyred Hogwarts pupil Cedric Diggory. Yet with success comes responsibility, and it's clear that post-Twilight, he's beginning to feel the pressure. "You can see all these articles," he says. "Like 'If Remember Me doesn't make any money, then what is he? What is his worth to the world?' I don't know. Nothing."

While the film made a modest box office bow in the US, taking $8.7 million in its opening weekend, Pattinson has no regrets about taking it on. "It's not a big epic action film. It's not going out to the marketplace to sweep up everything. It's just made to be a film. That's the weird thing."

While the film concentrates on Tyler's relationship with Lost star Emilie de Ravin's student Ally, Pattinson says: "I always thought it was more a film about living, trying to live, than specifically a love story" – a reason perhaps that Twilight fans have so far stayed away.

Not that this is a surprise. As shown by last year's little-seen biopic Little Ashes, in which he played artist Salvador Dalí, it's not Pattinson the fans want so much as his Twilight character Edward Cullen. Not that they'll have to wait long, with the third instalment of the franchise, Eclipse, due in July. While Pattinson returns to shoot the final episode, Breaking Dawn, in October, at least in between he's managed to squeeze in another adult role – an adaptation of Guy de Maupassant's 19th-century novella Bel Ami – to further show there's more to him than teen pin-up.

Indeed, if the gay love scenes of Little Ashes didn't fluster his female fanbase, playing Bel Ami's hard-living journalist and social climber surely will. As a cad of the first order, the film pits him against a legion of female co-stars, including Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci and Kristin Scott Thomas. So did that help his curious little phobia? "You mean did it ease my fear of vagina?" he says. "It's funny, playing this character that uses them all and uses sex as a weapon. He just destroys these people's lives in such horrible ways – it's so strange for me to be playing that part."

If this hints he's no heartbreaker in real life, today he's as reluctant as ever to talk about romance with Stewart, or anyone else. "When the spotlight seems to be quite centred on you, the best thing I think is to remain as much of a mystery as you can," he says. "Don't try and label yourself. Don't put yourself out. That's the only thing that creates stories."

If there's one thing he's learned, it's that a public persona isn't helpful when trying to sustain a career. "If you're seen all the time and if your opinions are all over the place, no-one wants to see your movies." Not that there's much danger of this – at least until the curtain falls on Twilight. v

Remember Me is released on 2 April. The third Twilight movie, Eclipse, follows on 9 July

Laughing

British actor Robert Pattinson rules the gossip pages with his 'secret' romance with girlfriend, US actress Kristen Stewart and dominates the box office with hits like New Moon (now on DVD) and Twilight.

But how is he aging? Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith explore it in 'the Hollywood Exclusive writing, "Wonder what "Twilight" heartthrob Robert Pattinson will look like at 93?

So do the casting forces on "Water for Elephants," who've been checking out old guys to play the aged version of Pattinson's character in the big-screen adaptation of the acclaimed Sara Gruen historical novel."

"The story is formed by his reminiscences of dropping out of Cornell veterinary school and joining the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth during the 1930s Great Depression -- encountering a brutal, mentally unbalanced trainer (Christoph Waltz, fresh off his "Inglourious Basterds" Oscar win) and his beautiful, mistreated wife (Reese Witherspoon). Another key bad guy still has to be cast as well. Production's set for May 22."

Edit:
Przepraszam, już poprawiłam :)

madzia112221, a co ja wkleiłam 2 posty wyżej? Nie ten sam wywiad?

Cytat:

MSN (Germany) Interview With Robert Pattinson

Anemic, always ready to bite – and incredibly sexy. Robert Pattinson
(23) is currently England’s hottest Hollywood export. With only one
role, lovestruck vampire Edward, Pattinson advanced to be a worldwide
heartthrob.

An end to the hype? Not in sight. On the contrary: The third part of
the Twilight-Saga, “Eclipse”, will stir pubertal fan hormones even
more.

Thankfully, the Londoner has done some other movies in between. One of
them is the romantic drama “Remember Me”. Robert is playing messed up
teenager Tyler, whose soul life has been suffering since the divorce of
his parents.
When Tyler falls in love with cool Ally (Emilie de Ravin from “Lost”),
he is enjoying life again. Even when Allys Cop-Daddy opposes him.

MSN: Tyler Hawkins is not only not dead. He is completely different
from Edward Cullen…

RP: Somehow I seem to be only playing freaks, fantasy figures or guys
in costume movies. Tyler was finally just a normal man, not too plain
or simple, but with a multi-faceted personality. That was the main
reason why I wanted to play him. Ultimately, it was easier to play
him. I could finally follow my instincts and improvise. First, I
wanted to orientate the character on my own character. But that was
just too complicated. If I play a vampire like Edward Cullen, I can´t
really improvise.

MSN: Have you ever been as aggressive as Tyler?

RP: Yes, I still am! Seriously: I wasn´t a rebellious kid. Maybe
that´s why you feel some aimless anger later in life.

MSN: And then you are demolishing hotel rooms?

RP: I relax while I´m working. Believe me, I can play somebody
agressive all day and can go to bed really satisfied and relaxed in
the evening. I´m always pretty happy when I can concentrate on a
project, a movie. When I´m not working, that´s a stressful time for
me. Besides I have just been to LA for a month, have been writing
songs and recording some. This is even more relaxing.

MSN: You seem to be very modest, humble and down to earth. How is
that possible if dozens of screaming girls want to grab you wherever
you go?

RP: You fall into a state of shock, therefore the containment
(laughs). I think it´s normal just to stay the way you are. The hype
hits you completely unprepared. Had I planned to be a teenie idol,
maybe I would think differently about it. But it was a coincidence,
so I´m not aiming at anything. But I do believe that you have to earn
your merits.

MSN: Do you see yourself as a hostage to your success? Would you like
to go back to normal?

RP: No. The thought would make me crazy. The only stupid thing about
my situation is that I can´t observe other people anymore without
anybody noticing it. But studying human behavior is one of the basics
of my job. As an actor you have to observe exactly how people behave
in certain situations. While filming “Remember Me” there were scenes
where I just had to walk along the street thinking about nothing.
Sounds easy? Just try thinking about nothing when there are 50 people
just 100 feet away taking pictures of you while you walk along the
street!

MSN: Since “Twilight”, has it been easier or more difficult to meet woman?

RP: Before “Twilight”, nobody had ever approached me. So if this is
happening now, I suspect that maybe she doesn´t want to be only
“nice”. That´s strange.

MSN: Let´s pretend you´re on a first date. What would you say?

RP: Nothing at all. I´ll wait until the lady says something. You have
to listen first and try to figure out what the other one wants to hear
before you open your mouth.

rob has trouble remembering his lines

Even as a talented movie star, Robert Pattinson admits to having trouble remembering his lines.
The hunky actor says that he needs someone to “feed” him his lines during the Twilight movies and has a poor memory. “When we do 'Twilight' there is always someone there who takes care of everything and feeds you your lines,” he said.
Pattinson, who plays Edward in the film, tries to practice his lines, but in the end he still needs a little help. “I read a lot on set, but as soon as I shut the book I can barely remember the last line I’ve just read. We’re just shooting "Bel Ami" and Declan Donnellan is directing it. He usually does stage productions and expects me to know all of my lines – like a stage actor. No chance! I realized how rusty and slow my brain has become.”
Meanwhile, Rob and "Twilight" co-star Kristen Stewart have been linked romantically, but Pattinson still won’t completely spill. “I think most people like to have a secret with a girl or boyfriend,” he said.“It keeps things exciting.”

Robert Pattinson says he is a confused romantic

Robert Pattinson may or may not be dating Kristen Stewart but he is admitting that he is a romantic at heart. Pattinson who shot to fame in the ‘Twilight’ movies has such great chemistry onscreen with Kristen Stewart, that everyone wants to see that same relationship offscreen.

Even though, Pattinson and Stewart aren’t talking much about their relationship status, Robert Pattinson does discuss his love life in a different way. He told Ok! Magazine: “[I'm romantic] in a kind of confused way. I mean, I think I try to be. I guess the way to be romantic is to be sort of un-cynical and innocent about the way you see relationships. I guess I am pretty innocent about that.”

The magazine also asked him if his fame made it difficult to have a relationship, and he said: “It’s difficult either way. Everyone always tells you: ‘Just accept having people take photos and stuff is part of your life. Don’t let it rule your life.’ Robert Pattinson seems to be a celebrity with his head on his shoulders.

By aktorzy jeszcze bardziej czuli się skrępowani?

EXCITED CROWDS OF TWILIGHT FANS TO UNVEIL WAX FIGURE OF HOLLYWOOD HEARTTHROB “R-PATTZ” AT MADAME TUSSAUDS NY

Crowds of screaming fans will flood Times Square to help unveil a wax figure of Hollywood heartthrob Robert Pattinson on Thursday, March 25 at 10:30 a.m. at Madame Tussauds New York, 234 West 42nd St. (b/w 7th & 8th Aves.), Manhattan. After the unveiling, fans will be able to cozy up to R-Pattz’s figure for photos and even a hug. Once immortalized (in wax), the Twilight vampire and Remember Me star will join the likes of Johnny Depp, George Clooney, Sean “Diddy” Combs and Leonardo DiCaprio – all of whom have wax figures in the famed Times Square wax attraction.

Pattinson’s figure is dressed in black trousers and fitted shirt. A jacket in a contrasting color finishes off his young, hip look. R-Pattz’s wax likeness also sports the actor’s signature tousled locks, which fans are invited to run their fingers through. Each strand of hair was inserted one-by-one by the Tussauds studio artists, who created the figure. They spent hundreds of hours studying photos and watching video footage of Pattinson to create the incredibly lifelike figure, which is posed standing up with hands on hips and will be housed in the “Opening Night Party” section of Madame Tussauds New York.

The first 100 fans who arrive to see R-Pattz’s figure on the day it is unveiled will receive free Pattinson and Twi-hard gear, as well as free admission to the attraction. Fans both young and old, often referred to as “Twi-hards,” can’t seem to get enough of R-Pattz. The young British actor became an overnight sensation following his portrayal of Edward Cullen, the beloved vampire in the film adaptation of Twilight. With a loyal following stretching across multiple continents, Pattinson is one of today’s hottest stars. In fact, Madame Tussauds London will also unveil a figure of R.Pattz on the same day as Madame Tussauds New York.

R-Pattz’s fans and representatives from Madame Tussauds NY will be available for interviews on site.

Osobiście uważam, że figura wyjątkowo nieudana.
