His time in the gym is clearly paying off, and Kellan Lutz was spotted out after a sweat session in North Hollywood, CA on Monday night (November 15).

The “Twilight” hunk showed off his bulging biceps as he made his way out of the gym to his car, flashing a quick smile for the paparazzi before cruising back home.

In other news, despite reports that they had broken up, Mr Lutz and AnnaLynne McCord were caught red-handed as they left a low budget motel in Studio City yesterday morning.

Attempting to disguise herself, Ms McCord donned a short, dark wig with big sunglasses, but was recognized when the paparazzi showed up.

Mam podobne odczucia. Przeraża mnie to coraz bardziej.
Jak nie umie urozmaicić sobie sposbów na pozbywanie się energii to już bym wolała, żeby sobie znalazł przyjaciółkę z korzyściami, niż siedział na tej siłowni cały czas.
Nikki zgadza się z tobą w 100%. Oni się tak schodzą i rozchodzą, i za każdym razem kiedy się cieszę, że to koniec okazuje się, że wcale nie.
BTW co ona sobie myślała zakładając tą perukę? Bo jak "nikt mnie nie pozna", to twierdzę, że ma iloraz inteligencji niższy niż ją oceniałam (a oceniała ją naprawdę nisko)

Kochana, ona ma iloraz inteligencji równy numerowi mojego buta, czyli 36 :) Musi mu nieźle dogadzać, że tak do niej wraca, albo czymś mu doprawia wodę na siłowni. Ok, żartuję, ale inaczej faktu, że tak go do niej ciągnie, nie da się wyjaśnić, a przynajmniej logicznie i z sensem.... Very Happy

Kusi mnie, żeby zapytać „I z czego on się cieszy na niektórych zdjęciach?”, ale obawiam się odpowiedzi. Samo myślenie o powodach jego radości wpływa na mnie depresyjnie, więc postaram się usunąć te myśli skupiając się na nowych zdjęciach.
A tak w ogóle to mam pewną teorię odnośnie „wypadu do motelu”, ale nie odważę się jej użyć, ponieważ wiem, że ten temat mogą czytać osoby poniżej 18 roku życia, a to, o czym myślę jest wysoce niecenzuralne.

Kellan’s ‘paw print’ auctioned for charity‏

Kellan is one of 29 celebrities donating their ‘paw prints’ to raise money for the Cats Protection charity. The celebrities were asked to draw around their hand, sign it, and style it in their own unique way. The ‘paw prints’ will be auctioned on eBay from 1st December.

A host of kind-hearted celebrities have all donated their ‘paw prints’ in an effort to raise funds to support our work.
Celebrities have been asked to draw round their hand, decorate and then sign the drawing to create a unique item and become part of our Celebrity Paws auction.
Each lot will be carefully framed and ready for the winning bidder to display and start impressing their friends and family. The auction, run in association with eBay, will open for bidding on 1 December with the hammer coming down on 11 December.

Camelot Captures ‘A WARRIOR’S HEART’

Camelot Entertainment Group, Inc. announced today that Camelot Distribution Group has acquired worldwide distribution rights for the teen love story A WARRIOR’S HEART starring Twilight’s Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene. The film follows the story of high school lacrosse star Conor Sullivan, who through his passion for the sport and a new love interest finds the strength to overcome his father’s death. A WARRIOR’S HEART is currently in post-production and will premiere in 2011.
“As evidenced by the strength of films like Dear John, The Last Song, and Twilight, tween and teen females are driving the box office,” explained Jamie Thompson, Camelot President of Distribution. “A WARRIOR’S HEART is a family friendly teen love story with a cast of rapidly rising stars; thus, we expect strong results among this demographic.”
A WARRIOR’S HEART also includes Golden Globe Nominee Adam Beach (Windtalkers, Flags of our Fathers), Gabrielle Anwar (“Burn Notice”), and Chord Overstreet (“Glee”).
The film is produced by Marc Spizzirri and Steven Istock of Camelot and executive produced by Camelot’s Robert P. Atwell and Jamie R. Thompson.

MovieFill interviews Kellan

So we have another interview of Kellan about his movie Meskada, this time from MovieFill. You can check part of it below.

The Twilight actor has a big year full of new releases coming up. He spoke with us about his upcoming projects and Meskada, a crime drama released this week on VOD.

Kellan Lutz stars in the new crime drama Meskada, out now on video on demand. Lutz plays Eddie Arlinger, a thief who imperils the livelihood of his small town when a job goes wrong. Kellan Lutz spoke to MovieFill about his latest film, his love of dogs and the many films he has slated for release in 2011.

What attracted you to Meskada?

It was different, and coming from a small town I really have knowledge of what comes on in an economic depression situation. I grew up in farming, and when farming took a hit people had to find other ways to make money. [The script] really hit home...We live such lavish lives here in L.A., we complain about being in traffic. In other parts of the country some people can't even afford gas to drive their tractors, so they have to find other ways to work that can take three or four times as long.

Meskada has such a different tone than a big-budget picture like Twilight. What kind of direction do you see your career going in, more dramatic low-budget films like this or larger projects?

I love the Bourne franchise, real-life action heroes. I really love Matt Damon's career. He can do the romantic comedy and then do Invictus and then do The Informant. Then he has the Bourne franchise.

I know you're a dog lover, did you hear about the recent study that dogs are smarter than cats?

I love that, talking about dogs versus cats. Dogs they're always there emotionally, cats, when they choose to love, you it kind of means more. It's kind of like letting your child go and if they call their mother back it means a lot more. I love my dogs, I really do. I'm more a dog person, but cats are smart as well. I've met some really intelligent cats.

What was director Josh Sternfeld's style like on set, was he very hands on or did he let you do your own thing?

Hands on, he knew what he wanted to do, under the circumstances. We didn't have a big budget, no multicamera. he was very much a part and an eye for what he wanted in the scenes.

Was there anyone in the cast you particularly enjoyed working with?

We all got to hang out. Nick Stahl is a great actor and a great friend

Josh Sternfeld said Meskada was a “great script that would never get made.” After doing the Twilight movies, what was it like shifting gears and working on a lower budget project?

Well for the Twilight movies Kraft services have all the meat and cheese I want (laughs). No, but you get more of a say. You get to communicate more with the director, even rewrite some lines. You can collaborate with the other actors. I don't act for the paycheck, so it was great to do something that was smaller, more independent. It's not for a huge audience.

How do you think movies about small towns can appeal to a larger audience?

Well the more topless people in it, the better (laughs). I'm joking. People don't really realize what's going on in those towns, and those towns are dying. And something like a child dying can really tear a town apart.
What are you most excited about moving forward? You have The Warrior and the new Twilight coming out next year.
2011 Is going to be really big year for me. I'm finding bigger and better projects to work on. I'm really excited for Immortals to come out. It's going to be a really good year. I'm excited for my action-packed movies, my own Jason Bourne, so much fighting and killing, and that's my cup of tea.

It took so many years to film all these movies and now they're all finally coming out. It's great.

His Career Ain’t in its Twilight: Kellan Lutz on Life and Movies

Since 2008, Kellan Lutz has garnered fame for his role as Emmett Cullen in the Twilight movie series. Millions of women, of all ages, have flocked to see the movies which have been box office successes. Vampires aside, Lutz’s latest role is in a movie based in a small town where people are trying to find work, keep jobs and make enough money to get by. It’s called Meskada and it’s out in theaters today, in Los Angeles, and can be seen on cable television on On Demand. The picture is timely based on how the current economy has hit small towns particularly hard.

Kellan shared with us his dream of one day owning a ranch in Denver, Colorado where he can house hundreds of dogs in need of homes. He was kind enough to give his perspective on the Target hero-dog story which CYInterview has been covering over these last few weeks.

Lutz also addressed recent reports by the NY Daily News, as well as other media outlets that have reported a possible relationship between him and 90210 actress AnnaLynne McCord. Given those reports, we thought it would only be fair to give Kellan a chance to discuss the matter. We believe this is an interview that all fans of Mr. Lutz and Twilight will enjoy, because he shares a perspective on many things that are important to him in his life and career.

Chris Yandek: How is the crazy life going?

Kellan Lutz: “Well, thank you for having me Chris. How is the crazy life going? I like to think of my whole life as being quite crazy. I love living the crazy life. I grew up being called Crazy Kellan. So I just kind of love, I laugh a little too much and why not. But as far as just how busy I’ve been, it’s great to be busy. I’d rather be busy than not having much to do. I kind of thrive on no sleep and multitasking. But I’m shooting Breaking Dawn [Latest Twilight Movie] right now. I’m in and out of Baton Rouge and that movie is going great and I’ve had a busy couple of years, really well planned and groomed, groomed projects that I’ve chosen.

I have a great team who has a great eye as far as you know the path where I want my career to be. So you know, 2011’s gonna be a really big year with Love, Wedding, Marriage coming out with Mandy Moore, The Killing Game, which I loved, big action movie, kind of like my own Bourne type of speak with Sam Jackson. Then Immortals comes out and that was directed by Tarsem [Singh] and I got to work with Mickey Rourke and Henry Cavill and Frieda Pinto and Luke Evans, just amazing, amazing actors and amazing directors and producers and then that’s when Breaking Dawn comes out too. So it’s going to be a big, busy year, 2011 and I’m just really blessed. I’m really grateful.”

CY: Well, a lot of small towns have been hit hard by the latest US Recession, Meskada, that’s where that comes in, follows a small community where things are for sure not financially easy on the families that live there. Some of the characters in the film are definitely willing to make illegal choices to make money. After being in this film, what are your thoughts on how small-town America has been hit by this current US Recession?

KL: “Well, the thing that really drew me to this project is I’ve seen it first hand. I grew up in parts of Iowa where you see the farming economy kind of digress and you see the small town. I just went back to Iowa to visit my grandparents for two days and they live in a small town Pocahontas, [Iowa] now and there’s one streetlight. There’s one bar or two bars, one pizza parlor, one bowling alley, a two-theater cinema.

It’s a small town. When you hear stories and you go to the local bars and you hear how people have to drive 200 miles to find a job or to work and then they have to bid and drop their rates for farming just to farm and get other acres, you know, you’re in a place where that’s all you can do and that’s all your town thrives on is farming in Iowa and agriculture. Then I got to go up to the Catskills and you see another group of small town people where when their jobs kind of take a hit, what more can you do. You have to drive hours away, you gotta work longer shifts just to support your family, to support yourself.

It’s really tough to see, but it’s really great to see the hope that these people have and it’s, I don’t know. It is kind of tragic – especially – a lot of people don’t know it goes on. Living in L.A., we complain about traffic, not, we don’t worry about not having gas to put in our car or a tractor to farm, so then you have to go and pick the wheat by hand or the corn by hand. You know, it’s really eye opening and I’m glad. That’s what really drew me to the movie is I’ve had experiences with that in Iowa. That’s great to be a part of something where you can shine some light on some issues that maybe America or the world doesn’t really take notice to.”

CY: We could say, the last how many years you’ve talked your mouth off about Twilight obviously and that’s what everybody wants to hear about, but more so than anything else, what is one thing you might never have shared to the public about being part of this franchise from any perspective?

KL: “That I haven’t shared with anyone.”

CY: Or maybe a perspective that’s overlooked.

KL: “Well, it’s definitely, it’s a big machine. I’m very thankful for it. But it is really tough to feel like, you know you’re just a small cog in the machine. There’s so many working pieces to it and I love being busy. I love doing independent movies where you know, you’re maybe more of a lead character, you have more insight, you have more say, you get to work with the actors a little more versus just having to sit in your trailer and you know, you kind of have to be there and I’m kind out of commission where I can’t do other projects until April.

Maybe I’m not working every day or maybe I’m working one day a week, but you still have to be there so I make the most out of it, but I definitely do miss when you’re not working all the time, you have more time to miss the things back home. It’s really, that’s why I try and fly back on the weekends as much as I can to spend time with my dogs because they’re only getting older and I’m gonna live a long time, but you know, my dogs lives aren’t as long as human’s lives.

You know, it’s one of those things where you do movies, I love doing film over television and I love traveling. I love playing different characters, but I find myself out of L.A. and away from my house seven months out of the year. So it’s really kind of a tough thing to be away from, your loved ones and my pets who are my, they’re really close to my heart. Thankfully I have amazing roommates who love them just as much as I do.”

CY: Did you have a chance to by any chance hear about the hero dog from Afghanistan that was put down by mistake a few weeks ago? Did you hear about that story?

KL: “No. What’s that story.”

CY: I’ll give you the quick story on this and we were talking about this. We interviewed Sgt. Terry Young, who was the owner of Target. Target and two other dogs saved 50 soldiers from a suicide bomber in Afghanistan and then was brought back to the United States to live with Sgt. Terry Young, got out of his yard and by mistake was put down at an animal shelter. I want your thoughts on that actually.

KL: “Really?”

CY: Yeah.

KL: “Why? Was it just an overpopulation of pets in that shelter?”

CY: They had numerous dogs in the same different little kennel areas, this dog was featured on Oprah last year. You can go take a look at it online, Target Dog and you can go to CYInterview.com. We’ve got comments from Mena Suvari and Mya of the North Shore Animal League. Are you surprised about the issues with euthanasia in this country and putting down dogs? You think this is an issue and a problem, this kind of stuff?

KL: “It’s my, like I can’t wait to have a ranch in Denver, Colorado, That’s where I really want to live, have a ranch, have a family and have, I want to adopt every animal I can and just have a huge ranch where I can just have hundreds of dogs there and I’ll take care of them and I’ll make sure it’s like all health reserved and like have a happy life and they can just adopt the dogs in a loving place, not in a caged place, but free to run.

Live kind of like, what was that? Old Yeller or like the dogs on the ranch. I just – it huts. Like it’s tough to see dogs being put down and any animal put down or any animal cruelty because they’re here on earth for us and when you put dogs down, like there’s gotta be – I still don’t understand like why, there’s places even in America that are full of green pastures that dogs can take care of themselves. They can hunt rats or cats can hunt rats, any animal can, I mean the survival animals.

Why couldn’t we just find like a state and have all the dogs and animals lived happily like humans never kind of established, places type of thing where it took away from environments. Just like when animals become extinct because of mankind. It’s so crushing. Leonardo Dicaprio works great with the tigers and trying to preserve them. I really look up to him and everything he does and I just never understood why there’s so many untouched areas. Why can’t we just have the animals live there and if you want an animal, go find one.

I had the best time going on a safari in Africa where you see all these happy animals. Like humans haven’t affected their kind of living arrangements and you get to see them way more up close than any zoo. I just, I understand kids want to go see animals and stuff and they cannot afford to go to Africa and do a safari, but taking the animals out of their habitat or destroying their habitat, like what did they ever do to us?

CY: I would imagine you have to deal with a lot of things given the fact the public is watching your every move. Given all the recent reports in the news media that have been based pretty much on perception and not fact, I’d like to give you a chance to clear up whatever relationship you have with AnnaLynne McCord.

KL: “(Laughs)”

Publicist: “We’re not gonna talk about that. (Laughs)”

KL: “She is a sweetheart. She is a sweetheart.”

CY: Is it hard though?

Kellan Lutz: “I don’t look at, people can write whatever they want to write. I don’t look at that stuff. My friends know me for who I am and they don’t bite into that stuff and it’s really funny to people who aren’t close to you who will read reports and anything like that. You know, I just don’t give them the time of day because if you don’t know who I am or what I’m doing with my life, then you obviously aren’t close to me and I don’t need to be close to everyone. So I have a really great group of friends who don’t bite into that stuff and you know, to each their own. But yeah, like you said, gossip is gossip and there’s barely any truth to anything.”

CY: Well, I appreciate you giving a perspective on that because we run these interviews on the record in their entirety and we do not print gossip. So I always appreciate a chance when a celeb can come by and say anything about any of that. I really appreciate that.

KL: “You’re welcome. Thank you.”

CY: Finally, what are you doing for the holidays quickly?

KL: “I did Thanksgiving with my father. I’m doing Christmas with my mother in Arizona.”

Ten Minutes with Kellan Lutz

At 25, Kellan Lutz has become one of the most recognizable faces in the world. From his turn as Emmet Cullen in the Twilight films, to his modeling work for Calvin Klein, it's hard to miss him. And the accolades just keep rolling in, including a spot on this year's Sexiest Men Alive list, published by People Magazine.

Today marks the the Twilight: Eclipse DVD release, which Lutz and his fellow castmates, in partnership with Eclipse Gum, are celebrating at a party in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where they are currently filming the last installment of the franchise. I caught up with Kellan to discuss what it's like to be wrapping up the franchise, what else he's working on and what it's like to be considered one of the sexiest men alive.

Hey Fabio.

Hey Kellan, how's it going?

I'm doing fabulous, how are you?

I'm doing pretty good. So I understand you're in Louisiana filming the last film in the Twilight franchise?

Yeah, I just flew back in. I've been really blessed with these movies. This new one is a big, seven-month movie but it's nice to have time to fly back and forth to LA and other places just because you end up having a week off here and there. So it's nice. I'm back here, it's like my fourth trip flying back. And I love Baton Rouge, I'm really happy shooting here. I shot here back in May, I had a movie that, you know, wasn't as hectic with fans because not all the Twilight (actors) were here, but I just love this town and I love being a tour guide for the castmates.

What was the movie that you were filming in Baton Rouge before Twilight?

It's called The Killing Game, a film that Jonah Loop directed, a big hard-R action movie with Sam Jackson. I loved it, I had the best time. I love to fight so I got to do a lot of my mixed martial arts and weapons training. It 's a big exciting movie.

How long have you been doing MMA?

Well I haven't really been doing MMA. When I (was growing) up, it would just be friends having a Fight Club in our backyard. But as far as mixed training, I've been boxing for years now and I love doing my own stunts. I've made a lot of friends who are really well trained [stuntmen] and really professional. [For The Killing Game], I got to set and I had no time to train. We started shooting right away, so at lunch time or whenever we had five minutes, I just worked with those guys¬--tried out new weapons and learned new moves. And that's what I continue to do to this day. When I'm back in LA, that's what I like to do to work out. That's what I want to do with my future--do action movies. So if I can train myself in terms of doing my movies and not having to take a month off to train, it [will be] nice be to able to go back and [have time to] just hang with my boys.

Totally. So, you're currently working on the last Twilight film and you've been working with these people for quite a while now. Are you feeling a little bit sad as it ends?

No, not at all. This whole franchise is definitely special to be apart of. It's really different than, say, the Lord of the Rings movies where you're down in New Zealand for years. These movies are kind of easy and they don't get tiresome. You work for three or four months on each movie and then you go home and with in those time periods, we have weeks off because we do block shooting. So, all the werewolves shoot for a couple weeks and then the vampires shoot. We come and go a lot. We don't really--I mean, none of us have gotten sick of each other, we all love each other. We're all very responsible and we take on the opportunities that being part of this franchise has given us in different field and parts of the industry and in life. So, I haven't even thought about it, it's not going to end really until 2012 and a few months after that--flying around, doing junkets. But no, I'm definitely not sad... It's not work, you know?

So, switching gears a little bit. You were named to People's Sexiest Men Alive list. What's that like for you when you get these, um... awards, I guess...

(Laughs.) It's very flattering. I remember, I've seen magazines like that and I don't really watch TV. But you know, Ryan Reynolds is in there all the time and now on the cover, and it's very humbling that People magazine would have me be a part of that.

What does your family think?

My--my family (Laughs.) I mean, I fell into acting. I've always kind of been "crazy Kellan" and just full of energy and doing my own thing that once I got into acting, it kind of just escalated all that attention for them in a way. Because I like to make my own attention. I just went back to Iowa, where my grandparents live, and I try to see them as much as I can. And they love it. They watch all my movies. We're in a small town, so it's like everyone knows them by their first name, there's one street light and they tell (their friends) that I'm going to come there. They're like, "Oh, he's just going to have his friends over,' because last time I was there the whole town came by and I was just signing autographs. Which I fine, but you think you can get away from that by going to see your grandparents in the middle of nowhere. This time I was like, "Ok, let's just do a big barbeque. We can have everyone come over and take pictures," because I only had a day and a half there. I wanted to go and hang out on the farm, I wanted to see my cousins and stuff and I just didn't have time to spend a whole day doing that again. And we decided to do a dinner and had a bunch of people come over and I stopped by the local gas station and, everyone knows each other, so their [friends] ask, "What are you doing?"

"Oh, this is my grandson, he's from LA--from Hollywood. He's an actor. He's in People Magazine!" They just had this whole (thing) down and I'm just like, "Great! Throw me under the bus like that!" (Laughs.) But they're sweethearts, and it puts such a smile on their face and if I can do that and it tacks on a couple more years to their life, (then) by all means, I want to.

Do you ever miss normalcy?

I've never been normal.

What do you mean?

I mean, I'm really down to earth but I mean--I'm normal but I am very random. I can't just sit down at a computer. I can't just do the normal things. I'm always doing something--being outside, doing things that a lot of people just don't do and I look at that. But in my normal life, I'm still Kellan. Yeah, Twilight's been a world of a change and has really helped me in my career, but I still do the same things I've always done. I still go bowling with friends and go to batting cages and I still go snowboarding all the time, walking my dog, hiking. That hasn't changed. Yeah, the paparazzi get annoyed when I'm (Laughs) and they didn't realize to pack warm clothes. But no, I haven't changed.

I saw you also had a premeire for an independent film, Meskada. How is it for you to go from a big production like Twilight to a smaller independent feature?

There's definitely a change and I like it. I really prefer the change. I've had a great balance of studio-indie films. I did Love, Wedding, Marriage, The Killing Game, Meskada, A Warrior's Heart, which are all indies. [Then] you have all these Twilight movies, which are larger than life movies. And I [also] did Immortals for Relativity and that's going to be a huge, epic mythology movie. It's really great to do the bigger movies where there's a lot of cogs in the machine, so it takes a lot of days to shoot something and then these smaller, independent movies. You only have three weeks to shoot it so you really are hands on, you really have a big say and you have to know all your lines because you can't afford to do multiple takes. And they're just different. You get to play different characters and there are a lot of great, independent scripts as well as studio movies.

What was it like to work on the Calvin Klein campaign? I mean, I live in LA and I remember driving up Sunset and seeing your rather inescapable billboard. What was that like for you on the other side?

Again, I've been so fortunate with everything. I've just been really blessed and being part of that campaign was just a really amazing experience. I remember the first time I was driving down Sunset and there was some construction going on and my eyes veered left and I saw my mug and my billboard. You get kind of shy and I was embarrassed for a second because I'm just standing there in my underwear, but it quickly turned into being very proud, being very thankful. Calvin Klein made a very provocative, great campaign with all of those guys and I think it's done very well for the company. Just being a part of it--it's tasteful. I love the clothes, so it's great to be part of something that you actually wear and love and I'm very thankful that I was able to do it.

Kellan Lutz may be single, but he is not quite ready to mingle…unless it’s with his über-tight castmates!
“I love Baton Rouge,” the lusty Lutz, who worked on the movie The Killing Game in the city, told us at the DVD release party sponsored by Eclipse gum. “It wasn’t as chaotic then as it is now with all the Twilight cast here. I’m the tour guide for a lot of my castmates.”
Embracing all the chaos, Kellan admits he is exposing his friends to one of his fave hobbies: “I love to bowl,” the Twi-stud ‘fessed. “There are some really great bowling alleys. And there’s a place that has mini go-carts.”

Kellan Lutz On Who Has ‘The Twilight Saga’s’ Best Abs

Kellan Lutz has finally settled the debate once at for all. Which actor – Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson, or himself – has the best “Twilight Saga” six-pack?
“I think Rob [Pattinson] does now,” Kellan told Access Hollywood from the set of “Breaking Dawn” in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where the star was meeting Eclipse gum’s recent lucky contest winner, timed with the movie’s upcoming DVD release. “Rob has been very diligent on his bicycle. He bikes a lot and he’s been training. I’m very impressed with him and I’d say that Rob [has the best abs] now.”
The actor, who plays Robert Pattinson’s vampire brother, Emmett Cullen, in “The Twilight Saga,” is currently shooting “Breaking Dawn, Part 1” and is looking forward to battling Kristen Stewart.
“I’m really excited to shoot the arm wrestling scene between Bella and Emmett because I know it’s one of those scenes that the fans are really looking forward to,” Kellan explained. “Even when I do conventions or hang out with the fans, they’re excited and they’re like, ‘Is that going to be in the screenplay, in the movie?’ And it is… and I can’t wait to shoot it.”
Now that Kellan has three “Twilight” movies under his belt, he explained what his biggest challenge is on the outset of filming the fourth.
“Definitely trying to get those contacts in my eyes,” he explained with a grin. “Those things… I have two technicians that kind of hold me down and dim the lights. I have small eyes and then my eyes are very sensitive. So, it’s not something I always look forward to when I have to come in an hour early to get the contacts in.”
“Breaking Dawn” will be released as two separate films with the first installment hitting theaters on November 18, 2011, and the second part on November 16, 2012. Until then, Kellan is showing no signs of slowing down.
The actor has five movies coming up including “A Warriors Heart” (which he shot with his “Twilight” co-star, Ashley Greene), and the crime mystery movie “Meskada,” which is currently out in theatres. Also on Kellan’s plate is “The Killing Game” with Samuel L. Jackson, “Love, Wedding, Marriage” with Mandy Moore, and “The Immortals,” in which the actor will play the Greek god, Poseidon.

He's the 'Twilight' hottie who is the new face of Calvin Klein underwear. Now he's also got a new movie, 'Meskada,' available OnDemand.

Q: What was your most memorable experience working on the film? - Keenan Noel

A: Meeting the townspeople. I grew up in the Midwest, and I’ve encountered situations that occur in this movie. A small town – if your main economic resources get hit and go on a decline, the whole town gets hit. People have to outsource for work and drive hundreds of miles for jobs, and that happened in Iowa with the farming. The prices for corn and wheat were dropped, and you had to outbid and lower your bid to keep farming and farm more land. It really affects the community. But the community sticks together. They really have a lot of hope, and that’s what I saw in these towns. And when you meet the townspeople and things like this have happened, you really feel for them. They’re just like anyone else, but they really have a lot of hope. It’s really cool to be around them and hear their stories. You really learn a lot.

Q: Did you do anything to prepare for the role, to get yourself into character? - pete

A: Yeah, I mean we worked with the director a lot. He’s different from Emmett Cullen, who has everything. Superpower strength. Eddie is a kid. He’s scared, and he really looks up to Shane, who’s played by Jonathan Tucker, who’s an amazing guy, amazing actor. I’m a pretty confident guy; I grew up pretty worldly, quickly, have a good head on my shoulders, so to really play the vulnerable character who doesn’t have everything together, who has to rely on a big brother type of person that Shane plays is really different. So really going into shooting, and having the knowledge that I’ve encountered and seen first hand, with the decline in farming, I really had an understanding of what these people, the town of Meskada, have gone through, and it’s really great.

Q: What was your experience working with Nick Stahl like on the movie? - pete

A: He’s a really brilliant actor. I really liked working with him. I’m a big fan of his, so to work with him, and Rachel [Nichols] and Grace [Gummer] -- it was Grace’s first movie; she gave it her all and she did a great job -- and Jonathan Tucker who I’ve been a great fan of. Nick Stahl, when you watch him there’s a lot of scenes where he just bashes up the bar. He just shows so much heart and so much emotion. He did a lot of work for the role – just as much as all of us, but you feel him feeling what it would be like to be part of a small town. Trying to be a leader, and trying to figure out what’s going on with this murder, and really just siding with the emotions of that town. They come together, and they protect their own, and work out the bad or good of the situation.

Q: You had a few fight scenes in the movie. What’s the difference between being a vampire fighting and being a mere mortal? - Doni Tom too

A: Ha! I hate being the kid who gets his butt kicked. I haven’t lost too many real-life fights in my life. I’ve been boxing for a while now. And even street fights, I’ve won quite a few of those.

Q: Have you been in fights since you’ve been an actor? - John

A: I haven’t had many. I had a few growing up that were more severe – when I didn’t have eyes on me, but it’s definitely different. Like I’m a bigger guy, so to actually lose a fight –- I’m well trained, my reflexes tell me to block a punch, and to act my way out of that, and not react as I would.

Q: Are you filming 'Breaking Dawn' now? - mikeyp

A: We are. I’m back home in L.A. because of the holidays, but I had my first day [of shooting] just a couple of weeks ago.

Q: How do find being the Calvin Klein underwear model now? - sarfdstgfr

A: I love it. I’ve been so blessed. Even falling into acting and having this be my new career. I’m just so thankful. To be a face of an iconic brand – you know, I started out modeling and I loved Calvin Klein.

Q: Do you ever get sick of being objectified and seeing yourself naked on the billboards? - sarfdstgfr

A: Ha! I remember the first time I saw the poster I was a little shy and embarrassed, but it quickly turned into a proud moment. And I’m so proud of what Calvin did. I hope to work with them again in the future. It was just such an amazing experience, and I know it was received well too.

Q: So what’s next for you? - Zhou Wang

A: 'Breaking Dawn' is taking a big chunk of time now. It’s a seven-month movie, but there’s a lot of down time. I’m just a cog in the big machine whereas doing a movie like 'Meskada,' or 'The Killing Game' or 'Love, Wedding, Marriage' -- that comes out next year as well -- you’re always on set. You’re always working, and I enjoy that as well, but I have my hand in a lot of cookie jars right now as far as movies. Got a lot of things going, and they’re all good stuff, so I work on those things slowly when I do have down time from shooting. 2011 is going to be a great year, and I’m very thankful for that.

Q: What’s going on on the set for 'Twilight?' - tanya n

A: Man, if I knew any stories, ha! These movies, it’s weird because we do block shooting, so all my scenes are mainly with the Cullens, and this’ll be the fourth and fifth movie that I’ve done with these actors, so we know each other inside and out. But you don’t really get a chance to work with the werewolves because those shoots have different scenes that you’re not in, so you don’t have to go to set that day, and that’s the only time you really get to hang out with the cast members. Maybe cast dinners. So a lot of the time you don’t even get to work with a lot of the actors that are in the movie, and it’s kind of a tease. Like people will ask, “How was it like working with Dakota Fanning or Michael Sheen?” and I’m like, “I had one day.” These movies keep on adding new characters, like Lee Pace had a cast dinner, and I’ve been a fan of his, and we barely have any scenes together, so everyone’s kind of in and out. I try and get back to L.A. as much as I can, but Baton Rouge is where we’re shooting right now, and I love that town -- great to go to work and go out and play afterward.

Characters of Character: When a child feels proud of themselves, everything in life comes a little bit easier. They feel better about the person that they are and they want to continue trying to be the best that they can be. They take pride in themselves and their actions, which allows them to succeed in others aspects of their life. A lot of children don’t have someone there to tell them that they should be proud of themselves and everything that they do. What advice do you have for children who do not have someone in their lives to encourage them and tell them to be proud of themselves?

Kellan: Even when we are alone it is important to give of ourselves – selfless giving always makes the individual feel better as there is always someone worse off.

Characters of Character: What do you feel your greatest accomplishment is in your life and why are you proud of yourself for it?

Kellan: Using the platform I have to influence others to make a positive impact upon the world around them – helping, serving, giving whenever possible.

Characters of Character: Was there ever a point in your life when you didn’t have confidence in yourself?

Kellan: My Junior year I didn't go out for Varsity football because I didn't have much time and didn't think I was big enough. My insecurities hindered myself and I missed out, that next year I was determined to play football no matter what and so I did and it was some of the best days of my life!

Characters of Character: What advice do you have for children who lack confidence in their own abilities?

Kellan: Only when we sit around and do nothing do we truly fail. Any forward motion is better than doing nothing. We have been created with purpose in our DNA – the LORD desires each of us to fulfill that purpose and HE will help we just need to move.

‘Immortals’ among the Notable Films of 2011

Analysis: A few years ago, 2010 was shaping up to be the battle of ancient Greek epics with Warners $70 million “Clash of the Titans” remake and Relativity’s $85 million “War of the Gods” set to duke it out. It was a race to the finishing line that ‘Clash’ quickly got the upper hand in when ‘War’ hit some major production delays. Changing its title from ‘War’ to “Immortals“, the project didn’t end up shooting until over a year after originally planned, in fact just after ‘Clash’ hit cinemas.

Kellan’s Game / First pics from ‘The Killing Game’ & ‘Love, Wedding, Marriage’

Nearly forty actors of his generation appeared in Generation Kill, David Simon’s war opus that premiered on HBO in 2008. The acclaimed mini-series opens with a Humvee gunbattle in Iraq and a Marine playing dead, something Kellan Lutz wouldn’t be doing for long. “It was definitely a passion project for me, because my older brother was in the Marine Corps,” he told me as we spoke at The Loft in Baton Rouge. “I spent seven months in Africa, but grew up five years. To work with Alex, James Ransone, Billy Lush…a lot of these great guys we built friendships with for life.” Though many from the mini-series’ talented cast would eventually emerge, Generation Kill jumpstarted the careers of both Kellan Lutz and his co-star Alexander Skarsgard. After their seven-month tour of duty, Skarsgard booked True Blood. Kellan booked Twilight.

“All we did was work out, eat high protein meals. I was eating sixteen eggs a morning. That’s what helped me transition into Twilight: I was a big guy and that’s what Emmett called for,” Kellan remembers. “It was really funny to work with Alex, then I got Twilight and then he’s doing True Blood. I’m just so proud of him. He’s such a great guy and I was blessed to be a part of that Generation Kill crew.”

The success of Twilight rocketed its cast into the stratosphere, making Kellan and company household names overnight. But while the character of Emmett has given Kellan great exposure, he hasn’t been identified with the role in the same way that Christopher Reeve, while a talented actor, was forever Superman. The result is a great deal of freedom. “It’s been such an amazing process. I fell into acting and I found a passion for it and it’s really like a hobby to me. I have a great agent, we’ve been best friends, and we have the same dream: to not care about the money and to not care about the fame. We can be cool and collected and really plan my career.”

“I’m blessed to be doing the Twilight movies because I know I get to make multiple movies,” Kellan says. “So, let’s go find some independents with meaty parts: let’s find a drama, let’s find a comedy, let’s find a thriller, let’s find a romantic comedy, a love story. I know my strengths and weaknesses. So, I might not take the great paying jobs of playing the frat guy, playing the jock, playing the preppy boy, because that’s what people see me as already. I’d rather do something a little different. It’s very tough for me to be seen as vulnerable or someone who could be beaten up, so its tough to get those roles, but I’m all for it.”

The planning has paid off. While Kellan is currently in Baton Rouge filming Breaking Dawn, the two-part finale to The Twilight Saga, it isn’t the first time he’s filmed in Louisiana. Just a few months ago, he was the lead in two films that could not have been more different. While shooting the action-thriller The Killing Game in Baton Rouge, he was also starring in the romantic comedy Love, Wedding, Marriage in New Orleans.

“It was really one of the best moments in my acting career: doing two movies at the same time, shooting three days here and driving down to New Orleans with a six-hour turnaround, putting on a suit to do Love, Wedding, Marriage for two days. Then, driving back up, putting on prosthetics, getting all bloody and fighting. I didn’t have a single day off for thirty-three days,” he says. “And I was the lead in those two movies. I loved it, because I haven’t had that opportunity. Doing these two completely different projects was so challenging and I thrived on it. I never felt so energetic. A lot of times I only had three hours of sleep.”

“Kellan was an absolute delight,” says Lauren Thomas of Illusion Studios, the makeup artist responsible for creating his “wounds” in The Killing Game. “Even though he had another film going on at the same time, he was always first in, last out. He was just such a gentleman throughout the whole process. I know he was exhausted but he never showed it.”

“The Killing Game is like The Running Man mixed with Gladiator,” Kellan continues. “Sam Jackson plays this new-age Caesar and I play the gladiator thrown into this Running Man-esque, fight to the death battleground.” In the romantic comedy Love, Wedding, Marriage, he plays Charlie, a newly married husband to Eva, a marriage psychologist played by Mandy Moore. It afforded Kellan an opportunity to work with actor Dermot Mulroney in his directorial debut.

“I play a typical, normal newlywed husband, who wants to have that first six months of a relationship, the honeymoon stage. You’re newly married and you just want to be with your wife,” says Kellan. “It was a tough movie for me. My character was just so matter of fact, so I didn’t have to be ‘large’ about it,” he says, indicating his own affable personality. “To have a director like Dermot who you can just go to…he was probably one of my most favorite directors to work with. He was just so nice and so easy going.”

In addition to Breaking Dawn, Love, Wedding Marriage and The Killing Game, Kellan also has Meskada, A Warrior’s Heart and Immortals, in which he plays the Greek god Poseidon. And while his career is clearly keeping him busy, he is careful to make time for causes he cares about.

“[My assistant] Richard and I just went down to New Orleans and worked with the St. Bernard Project, which is an amazing organization that helps rebuild communities and the homes destroyed by the levees breaking. We got to do some painting and woodwork. And there’s a lot of emotional and psychological trauma that comes with losing a house, so they have a great program to help,” Kellan says. “It’s so great when I do have time. And I’ve been blessed to shoot projects here in Louisiana, some in New Orleans and now some in Baton Rouge, where it’s only an hour drive on a day off to go.“

His work in Africa on Generation Kill also raised his awareness regarding the clean water problems of the developing world. “I’ve started working with Water.org, which was started by Matt Damon. That deals with bringing clean water to Africa so I’m really diving into that as well.” As he pointed out, many actors attach themselves to humanitarian projects for the publicity opportunities. It was clear to me that Kellan’s earnest interest is real, stemming from when he was growing up a young boy in a big family. Now, at twenty-five, Kellan Lutz is playing his own game.

A source tells HollywoodLife.com that Kellan has been chowing down some southern grub at Walk-Ons quite frequently and we think we know why! It’s because he likes to chit-chat with the pretty waitresses!
Our source reveals that recently Kellan went to Walk-Ons and ordered a chicken tender salad with a double Jack Daniels on the rocks! But before scooting out, the adorable blonde waitresses managed to nab Kellan for a few quick pics!
Now that Kellan is newly single, we wonder if he’ll settle down with a nice Southern belle!

The Fifth Annual DIRECTV Celebrity Beach Bowl will kick off on Super Bowl Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011.

DIRECTV Celebrity Beach Bowl has become one of the must-attend events of Super Bowl weekend, will be no exception. Hollywood’s brightest celebrities will compete against NFL greats in a no-holds-barred flag football game in front of thousands of fervent fans.

The action will take place in a specially constructed 10,000 seat stadium, complete with a regulation size sand-filled football field and concert stage. Immediately following the game and trophy presentation, the crowd will fill the beach for a concert featuring GRAMMY Award-winning Maroon 5, presented by Palladia HD.

Celebrities scheduled to take the field include:

Super Bowl-winning New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning will reprise his role as coach of Team Palladia HD and former University of Texas quarterback Colt McCoy of the Cleveland Browns will coach Team Spike.

Hall of Famer Warren Moon and Jesse Palmer will quarterback their respective teams. Other NFL greats playing in the game include Merril Hoge, Daryl Johnston, Eddie George, Barry Sanders, Desmond Howard and Darren Woodson.

The day will begin at 1:30 p.m. CST with the pre-game show hosted by Dan Patrick and Kevin Frazier, presented by SHOWTIME, and featuring James Brown, Phil Simms and Warren Sapp of SHOWTIME’s Inside the NFL.

At 2:30 p.m. the game will begin when celebrities and athletes take the field. The DIRECTV Celebrity Beach Bowl will be played over two 20-minute halves and the action will be called by Patrick, entertainment reporter Nancy O’Dell and sideline reporter Tony Siragusa. The DIRECTV Blimp will be flying overhead to add to the excitement throughout the day.

The game and performance will air live on DIRECTV’s The 101 Network and, for the first time ever, will also be broadcast in 3D on DIRECTV’s n3D powered by Panasonic. Additionally, the game will be broadcast on all of Fox Sports Network’s Regional Sports Networks and affiliates and DIRECTV’s Regional Sports Networks, more than twenty-five networks in total, giving the DIRECTV Celebrity Beach Bowl its biggest audience ever of more than 85 million homes.

SPIKE is a presenting sponsor of the Fifth Annual DIRECTV Celebrity Beach Bowl, which is free and open to the public. The pre-game show will be presented by SHOWTIME and the post-game concert is sponsored by Palladia HD. Participating sponsors Captain Morgan, The Hub TV Network, AT&T and Burger King will also be on hand for all the fun.
