Casting Call for New Moon Extras in Montepulciano!

The city of Montepulciano has issued a casting call for Italian walk on actors/actresses to be extras in New Moon! Filming is set to occur from May 25th to May 29th. The schedule for casting is as follows, according to Mr. Diego Mancuso, head of the tourism office in Montepulciano–

Screenings for selection of walk-on parts are open the following days:

Casting Women /Childrens

April 28th (tuesday) and April 29th (wednesday)

From 9:30 AM to 01:00 PM And from 2:30 PM to 07:00 PM

Filming Begins at Bella’s Vancouver House Set Tonight

Filming will begin this evening at the new version of Bella’s House custom built as an exact replica of the house used in Twilight. The Now has an article about the number of fans–or as they say, “crazies”–converging on the set:

The structure is nothing but a shell meant for exterior shots, but it requires around-the-clock security to keep rabid fans from doing damage to it.

It has a chimney made of flimsy styrofoam, after all.

Imported trees and rearranged telephone poles help make things look authentic, too.

Filming at the site will begin tonight (Friday), the Now has learned. City-issued signs warn of road closures starting April 24.

“I don’t like going to the film sets when they’re shooting,” [one woman from Burnaby visiting the house] said, “because there are too many crazies hiding in the trees and everywhere.”

When filming starts in South Surrey, huge black screens will serve to block views of the action.

ET has day 2 of coverage of their New Moon coverage–including talk about motorcycles, special effects, and how Robert Pattinson will “rise again”–director Chris Weitz says it will be a scary “apparition”– a CG “modulated image”!

Bella’s Truck: Seeing double

Filming has definitely started over at Bella’s house tonight. Earlier today, a “twilight fan” was able to take pictures of the house as well as Bella’s truck. I don’t know about you, …but I think I’m seeing double!

Produkcja "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" zyskała właśnie na prestiżu. Muzykę do filmu skomponuje nie kto inny jak Alexandre Desplat, dwukrotnie nominowany do Oscara za "Królową" i "Ciekawy przypadek Benjamina Buttona".
Zdjęcia do drugiej części "Sagi Zmierzchu" właśnie trwają. Obraz reżyseruje Chris Weitz.
Kompozytorem muzyki do pierwszej części był Carter Burwell, stały współpracownik braci Coen.

Robert Pattinson’s “dark” scene in New Moon a re-hash of a left-out Twilight scene?

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Robert Pattinson described his performance as Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga: New Moon to include a rather dark scene.
Said Pattinson, “it’s kind of as close as possible to the book.” Yet, said he, “there are some really bizarre moments, I mean, ‘cause she’s having constant nightmares all the time. And the nightmares are all based on the person she loves, like, haunting her, so, uh, there’s a lot of kind of weird dreams about death, decay …”

“The dream sequences are really eerie,” says Kristen Stewart, “it’s like you have something that is your idea of like perfection but you’re afraid of it while afraid of losing it, it’s like very masochistic.”

“He gets the chance to be a little bit more scary in the dream sequences. He’s not so perfect,” she continues. “One dream sequence which I don’t think anyone will expect,” says Pattinson, “Edward is this kind of demon.” “So, hopefully people will be a little freaked out by it.”

Ever since this statement, fans have been searching page by page through New Moon trying to figure out just where that is coming from. We know that Bella has nightmares throughout the books, but, in them, they are usually her searching for something that is lost – something that is gone, Edward.

Yet, there is no demonic Edward to be seen, at least that I could tell. Looking back through Twilight, though… alas, there is (at least) one possibility.

We already know that there were a lot of parts of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight that were left in the cold with the 2008 film by Catherine Hardwicke. Many of the omissions, we also know, disappointed Twilight fans.

One such may be this scene from Twilight, which may in fact be the elusive dream sequence that Robert Pattinson will be bringing us in The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

I opened my eyes to a familiar place. Aware in some corner of my consciousness that I was dreaming, I recognized the green light of the forest. I could hear the waves crashing against the rocks somewhere nearby. And I knew that if I found the ocean, I’d be able to see the sun. I was trying to follow the sound, but then Jacob Black was there, tugging on my hand, pulling me back toward the blackest part of the forest.
‘Jacob? What’s wrong?’ I asked. His face was frightened as he yanked with all his strength against my resistance; I didn’t want to go into the dark.
‘Run, Bella, you have to run!’ he whispered, terrified.
‘This way, Bella!’ I recognized Mike’s voice calling out of the gloomy part of the trees, but I couldn’t see him.
‘Why?’ I asked, still pulling against Jacob’s grasp, desperate now to find the sun.
…
And then Edward stepped out from the trees, his skin faintly glowing, his eyes black and dangerous. He held up one hand and beckoned me to come to him. The wolf growled at my feet.
I took a step forward, toward Edward. He smiled then, and his teeth were sharp, pointed.
‘Trust me,’ he purred.
I took another step.

This sequence, in Twilight, is one of the most revealing and foreshadowing pieces of Twilight. The dynamics of the three characters involved (these sequences happen on pages 130-131 if you are interested in looking it up) are clearly representative of the tug-of-war that we see play out between Jacob and Edward (and arguably, at least in some small way, Mike) in New Moon.

Robert Pattinson’s description of the dream sequence at hand in The Twilight Saga: New Moon seems to be on-point with this passage. Kristen Stewart’s statements about the scene also align quite nicely with this portion of the book.

Chodzi ogólnie o to, że w ostatnim wywiadzie w ET Pattinson powiedział, że w New Moon będzie pokazany sen Belli, w którym Edward jest demonem/potworem... a przecież w drugiej książce Meyer nie ma czegoś co by do tego pasowało... więc prawdopodobnie zobaczymy scenę, która jest opisana w pierwszej części (powyżej fragment po angielsku).

Michael Sheen Answers Fan Questions on Aro

Michael Sheen has been gracious enough to answer some fans’ questions on Twitter, which reveal a little about himself and the role of Aro. Here is what we learn–

* He’ll be in both Vancouver and Italy
* He says he’ll feel old around the young actors, but may scare them with his red eyes.
* He’s reading the books right now.
* He’s excited about going to Italy to film.
* He met Robert Pattinson at the Oscars.

(...)Mike Welch was looking dapper in a tan spring jacket and light blue button up shirt, blue jeans, and sneakers. Perfect for a date night out with Bella. Taylor Lautner was in full getup as Jacob, and he looked good. Black jacket, dark shirt, and blue jeans. Wig looked great tonight and Taylor looked more chiseled than ever. (...)
I’m still trying to figure out which scene in the book this is from. I don’t seem to remember him sprinting anywhere in the book during the movie scene. (...)
Eventually they brought a truck by to spray the sidewalks down with water to make it look like it had just rained. They also sprayed the cars. Security joked with us that if we got wet they weren’t liable. It was fun to watch them set this scene up.
They started removing some of the screens in front of the set. Very cool things: They changed the sign on the theatre to “The Dead Come Back” and added an original movie poster! (...)
They both [KBitch i Anna Kendrick] looked beautiful. Kristen as “Bella” was wearing a dark coat, with a blue hoodie and a casual shirt underneath, with blue jeans and Nike sneakers. A likely Bella costume! Anna as “Jessica” was wearing a very cute houndstooth pattern brown jacket with pockets, with a pink, coral and white shirts underneath. I like the necklace they chose for her. Blue jeans as well.
They seemed to get along really well on set. Both were laughing and talking almost the entire time they were shooting or relaxing on set. (...)

New Moon at the theatre

As I first reported earlier this week, they shot more theatre scenes last night for New Moon with Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and Anna Kendrick.

By the way, next week’s schedule is even hotter.

Didn’t realise Anna Kendrick was so little. Kristen is about 5 ft 4. No more. She towers over Anna. There’s a frame or two among these of director Chris Weitz and Michael Welch is in town for this too.

Also, Kristen has a great ass.

Oh and one more thing – Michael Arangano, Kristen’s boyfriend, was still in town as of yesterday. He’s come to visit a couple of times on set.

Michael Sheen, Jamie Bower Arrive in Vancouver Pics

Michael Sheen has just tweeted that he is off for costume fittings and that he will begin filming for The Twilight Saga: New Moon tomorrow.

Sheen's news comes as little surprise, as we knew that these scenes (which take place in Italy in the book series) were being filmed in a closed set in Vancouver.

Lots of new details on what they’re shooting on the Vancouver set, but no pictures–yet:

Green screen work that involves driving around in a Porsche. And the cliff diving scene. Bella wants to jump, Edward the apparition asks her not to.

Then Edward takes a phone call, gets very upset and the phone disintegrates in his hand.

And then Edward, Bella, Alice are escorted by some vampires (including Dakota Fanning) through the underground passage to meet with the others.

Also shooting the scene when they leave and Heidi brings in the victims.

Volturi Scenes filmed in Vancouver Yesterday

Lainey Gossip says that the wolves have wrapped their portion of the shot up in Vancouver for now, and now it’s the Volturi’s time to film –

The Volturi judging and sentencing a vampire who broke the rules – as seen in a painting.

Edward presenting himself to the Volturi and requesting their decision. The three vampire leaders say nope, they don’t want to destroy him.
